Okay, so.....

Things I've been reading lately:

Meg Cabot's Heather Wells mystery series from emiline. "Size 12 is not fat" and "Size 14 is not fat either". both were very good and I would recommend them to anyone. Now i'm reading a book called "H Bomb Girl" from the YA section at chapters. I bought it cause it had a quote on the front saying that anyone who liked Doctor Who would like thist book....so there ya go, i'm a DW sucker.

Finished Ashiteruze Baby thanks to my friend Justin. good manga, if not a little of a short series. Still waiting for the next volume of Claymore, it's not due til March. Same with the second 12 Kingdoms novel, stoopid time and waiting *grrr*. Still working through Tramps Like Us, very addictive, and read the first volume of High School Debut and have already decided to get the next one.

Things I'm watching:

Watching through Buffy again, i've got one episode left in the 5th season. ( i put it on at work and can get through a season in just over two days....i am there for at least 8 hours after all). Beck, i didn't watch it on television, i heard that the Jrock music was good so I wanted to wait for it on DVD. I've finished the first two volumes of Death Note, again, not on television, only subtitles for me! I'm gonna start Paranoia Agent tonight, cause Amesaurus needs her some Satoshi Kon...*mmmmm Satoshi Kooooooooooon*. OH!! and anyone who likes cute and a bit goofy anime, you have, HAVE to find Kamichu. It's fantastic! and really short.

Edit: I'm also about two episodes away from the end of the first season of Torchwood, now that's good stuff. And i've been catching up on Ugly Betty. *sigh* Ah the wonders of the intraweeb!

Comics:
the only ones i read in singles regularly are Buffy Season 8 and Walking Dead. other than that it's just trades for me. I can't be bothered to collect singles when they take up so much space and i can't lend them out. I'm just anal that way, no one reads my singles unless i'm there watching them like a hawk.

thats a ton more than i thought i would writer, and husband has already made fun of me for sitting here doing this, as i said i was going to the bedroom to watch anime.

the end.

Looking at a wedding band...

So it's all done and over with and my gods did i not realize just how stressed out i was! Seriously, we were in Stratford from Wednesday to Saturday last week and we spent most of out time in our room at the bed and breakfast sleeping! I was totally exhausted and really enjoyed the holiday. i really needed it. of course, the drawback of taking a vacation from the comic book world is that even one week can throw off my knowledge. i litteraly have no idea what shipped last week other than Buffy 6...honestly!
in other news, our friend brought us our new Wii for our combined wedding/birthdays/probably christmas (and who could fault him) gift. i suffer badly from the Wii-itis now, my elbows are a bit tender from boxing and my back gets stiff if i bowl too much. but i loves it anyway. Sunday the Wii was in action almost 10 hours!! Boy got Res.Evil 4 from one friend and i got Mario Party 8. MP8 is cool, it's fun, boy and i can play together as a team or against each other. It really is just a big board game with little mini arcade type games tossed in. Wii sports is still my fave though, tons of fun. that and making Miis...i'm addicted to that. I've got all of the Runaways made, cause i'm a giant geek.

in other news, my diet is going well, i actually lost over the weekend of the wedding even though i wasn't eating the way i'm supposed to and forgot one dose of suppliments. The honeymoon did me in a bit though, i was down almost 12 pounds and then gained back 6 between Wednesday and Saturday. i was in again today to see my counselor and i'm back down by 4 pounds, so it shouldn't be too long until i'm right back on track again.

tomorrow i have to go the the bank for the store and change my name there. this mid-way between two names thing sucks. i want to be Mrs. NOW, not have to wait for three months so the stupid government knows i got married because they finally processed our marriage lisence. and no, i probably didn't spell that word right, i never do.

i'm done.

Oo Ah Just a Little Bit

So i'm a little bit down. I'm stressed and my new diet is kinda getting to me, especially because I'm headed for my 'need of chocolate' time ( salamanders you know what i'm talking about) Everything just feels like it's falling on my head and i don't have anywere to put it.

i kinda just want to lay in bed for the next six days and have everything fix itself and not think about eating at all.

stress sucks.

Oh yea

I forgot the last time I posted, we got another cat! A friend of ours adopted him in Godrich but ended up not being able to keep him. We had been thinking about getting another kitty as Firefly has been acting super crazy ever since we moved her here on her own. So now we have Bishop (and maybe someday I'll be computer savvy enough to actually post pictures). He's about the same age as Firefly but twice the size. It's been suggested to me that he may have some Bengal in him and I think there is probably a very good chance. He's quite large and has circular markings in black over his mottled grey/white/orange/black fur. He's quite handsome if I do say so. He's become very affectionate and he and Firefly get along great, not that there wasn't some hissing and batting when we first intorduced them.

Other than that, I've started a new weightloss program that is pretty strict but is supposed to have good results. I only started yesterday so we'll see how it goes. I'm signed up for a year so I'm sticking to it no matter what. Boy is giving me lots of support and I hope everyone else will too!

thats' better than seven months right? Hooray posts!

Aaaaand....

seven months later I POST!! *ta daaaaaahhhh*

that's my trick for the day.

I know that most people these days are all ooo and aahhh over facebook, but dude, total cult. I'm totally not going there. So all my friends from here that are on there, please please PLEASE stop sending me invites to the cult, it's not gonna work. thanks :p

wedding is just around the corner!! just about 3 weeks actually! i'm getting a little stressed. we had my mom's car this week so we went to Ikea today and picked up stuff for centre pieces. it was really the best place to go for them as they were affordable. i know it may sound really cheap to not want to spend more than ten bucks on the centre pieces at my wedding, but they do just get taken away as gifts, and with 12 tables, and being poor, i mean, come on!! What we picked will look awesome though, and will be totally multi-task reusable.

also, got the images from our engagement photo shoot. have to pick a couple and get them printed up. what we're gonna use those for i have NO CLUE! so many photos yet to come too, and neither of us really like having our picture taken. I just hate it, and boy always closes his eyes or looks away just as the pic is being taken, it's hilarious!!

this saturday is our Stag and Doe at mom and dad's place in muskoka. They've added a HUGE addition thats just one big room and beautiful new deck. it's great, and should be as finished as the yet-to-be-finished cottage soon. i have no idea what to expect but it should be interesting. there has been all too much driving these past two weeks already and i know it's not going to end any time soon!

everything else is plugging along well. just have to figure out the details for the rehersal dinner, after figuring out the actual time for the rehersal itself after speaking with Father Kevin next week. Then there is the next dress fitting next week, a shower for me, (no, the other bride *dur*), um, party favours and the finishing touches on our Bag of Shame, the game everyone is going to have to play to get us to kiss... it will be awesome, and just as embarassing for those trying to get us to kiss as it will be for us. Oh, and the playlist, as we are having iPod wedding. I just piced up two extra important CDs today (Queen's Greatest Hits and Classic Queen) i just couldn't have my wedding without QUEEN!!

i'm gonna stop typing now, i'll probably not post again until after the wedding. so have a good last few weeks of summer everyone!

Oooo, pretty.

So we went and got some new furniture today. a new desk for me and a breakfast nook table with stools that store under it for more counter space. For those who haven't been in my kitchen before, be glad, there is absolutely no space in it. our 'naturally occuring' counter space includes about a foot and a half on either side of our double sink and a half foot chunk between our stove and fridge.

that's it.

seriously.

we have NO space in our kitchen, we don't even consider it a real kitchen anymore, now that we've lived here for more than two years and had to deal with it. it sucks and is one of the main reasons we want to buy a house. but, anyways.... we now have more counter space and a cozy little spot for me to sit at my puter (when boy isn't there playing WoW)

maybe i'll even be on here more often? we'll see.

for those who didn't know, i'm back to having thursdays off instead of fridays. it's reminded me just how much i hated having thursdays off to begin with. lets hear it for being the only one in my friend group that doesn't work mon-fri, *whoo hoo!*.
went to the mall and used my Chapters birthday gift card for two new veggie cook books and the second Stitch n' Bitch book (more patterns!). then on to the evil that is Old Navy for two more new tees and a sweater i couldn't say no to. hey, it was royal blue and wool and all cute! but ROYAL BLUE!! tis the rock.

when i got back to my building i was followed in by a young 'street' girl all in pink talking on her pink moto razor, i swear to god! she was so very ingrosed in her cellphone conversation that she didn't even acknowledge that i was pushing floor buttons for myself and the elderly woman who also got on the lift... she didn't realize she had forgotten to push the button for her floor, 7, until we reached mine, 10. and for those who haven't experienced my elevator, it goes so slow you'd think you were losing years of your life.

but hey, new books and ROYAL BLUE sweater. now i'm off to figure out what we're having for dinner.

we went to Vaughn Mills today and I got some new sneakers, a couple t-shirts, X-Men Legends II for the cube, my Avatar Season 1 DVD set and some chocolate from, get this, PURDY'S!! If you've never had Purdy's chocolate you are not truly living a chocolate lovers existance. They're based out of BC and as far as I knew you couldn't get any of their product in Ontario except by mail order from BC, but there is a store in the Vaughn Mills outlet mall....and now I will have to go there again and again. I was good, I only bought one chocolate bar for me, one for boy (white cause that's what he likes), one hedgehog (a hazelnut/chocolate DREAM! that I didn't know came in singles) and a 2pack of Nutty Mack, a nut/caramel/white chocolate candy that was super tastey. and I'll try to stop talking about chocolate now.

the end.

thought I do a little CD review for everyone while my boy makes breakfast for us (mmmm omlete and back bacon!) He just flipped the omlete, he's getting quite good at it.

SO! Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol:

I really like this album, I think that it is better then Final Straw which is the album that introduced me to the band (which is just one guy as far as I can figure). Not only are the songs more interesting, but he's starting to use a little more variation in his melodies. The lyrics in most of the tracks are perfect fits for how I feel in my love life sometimes, I've pretty much decided that Chasing CArs will be my 'first dance' wedding song whenever I get married, it almost moves me to tears every time I hear it. Also, Set Fire to the Thrid Bar with the beautiful Martha Wainwright is just plain HAUNTING! Their voices work wonderfully together and the lyrics are wonderfully melencholy.

Aaaaand my breakfast is ready, and no, I'm NOT going to correct spelling mistakes, you can all just live with it :p

okay, so if I've added you then you know me, or at least you were on an old friends page. I've started this new journal for reasons my own and I've added those of you I wanted to bring along! I was the 'firework' girl before, with different spelling of course, and now i'm the Rex, so get used to it....and the fact that I might actually use this space for something productive again! (unlike my old journal, which you all should have noticed I never used)

So! Welcome to the new world people, hope you enjoy it!
